The Blanco County WW2 Museum is a part of the Blanco Buggy Barn Museum Complex located at 1915 Hwy 281 on the north side of Blanco.
It complements a series of nilitary museums across Central Texas including the Texas Military Museum in Austin and the National Pacific War (Nimitz) Museum in Fredericksburg.
The Blanco County WW2 Museum has the misson of providing a better understanding of the County and its citizens in World War 2. The European Theater of Operations wing is designed to provide a view of what the soldiers who were there would have encountered on the battlefield. It represents a collaboration between the Blanco Library, the Blanco High School and the Blanco Chamber of Commerce. .
Much like this website, the Museum is still in its formative stages so cut some slack on this work in progress. I do appreciate genuine feedback because the goal is to make this a useful resource for students of this extraordinary time in American history.
