“Auch Du.”  “You Also.” A young Hitler Youth lad looks off in the distance with a Waffen SS man in the background.  The message here was that you too might be able to become a part of this elite fighting force one day.  Far too many of the HJ followed that path and paid the ultimate price.

“ALLE ZEHNJAHRINGEN IN DER HJ.”  All 10 year olds are required to join the Hitler Youth.  An idealized young HJ lad under the watchful gaze of his hero reminds the populace that belonging to the Hitler Youth was not an option.  While the Hitler Youth was originally a volunteer organization, in 1936 that choice was eliminated and all 10 year olds had to join the Hitler Youth..  

 

Recruiting poster targetting HJ to be Flak Helpers.  As the war progressed more and more Anti Aircraft Batteries were manned by Hitler Youth volunteers releasing older soldiers for duty at front.
